I can't believe how adorable this is. It's ridiculously cute. I just wish I could convince myself that I'd use it. It's the Home Chic Home Tool Kit and you can get it for $75 from Shop Intuition.

Coco Ribbon times 2

Yay! I wrote to the fabulous Holly of decor8 to tell her about my fave London boutique, Coco Ribbon, which was not on her shopping guide, and she posted on it! Yay! I got a nod from Holly! Anyhoo, was kind of in a Coco Ribbon mood, so I thought I'd post this silk jewelry roll that was new on their website. I couldn't get the colors quite right, but it's supposed to be mint green and chocolate brown. Yummy!

It's Here!!!

The September Vogue is FINALLY here!! And to all you pink-haters out there, the cover is much less bubblegum than it appears on the internet. More dusty-rose or mauve. Yeah, yeah, we all know Marie Antoinette's favorite color was blue, but so what? The fabric on the dress is gorgeous, the fabrics in the background are amazing, and the whole photo story is a masterpiece. PLUS, an added bonus was that the article didn't consist of another vapid Hollywood interview; it was all about Marie Antoinette's life. Two enthusiastic thumbs-up.

Military Rules

Look at this incredible coat from Ann Taylor Loft! I absolutely love the military look.....and by that I mean streamlined black and navy with big brass buttons; not camouflaged cargo ugliness. So classic and fabulous.

September ELLE

Although I was not thrilled to see Ms. Lohan on the cover of the September issue of ELLE, I have to commend the magazine for the lovely use of color. The blue and green are complemented very nicely by the pink of the lettering, but I also liked the contrasting textures on the clothing. Everything seemed to just pop out on its own on this cover. Bravo, ELLE.

Classic Combo

I love pale blue and brown clothes. It's so clean, classic, and elegant. These two looks are from J.Crew (left) and Banana Republic (right). Actually , I think the J.Crew pants might be olive green....I can't really tell. Still looks good.

Art and Francophilia

Parisian patisserie, Ladurée, has come out with a travel journal that is beautifully illustrated with watercolors by (according to their website) "Elsie". Does anyone know who Elsie is? I've been trying to find out on the web, since I'm sure we'll never see this book in the U.S., and I'd be very interested in seeing some of her (or his I guess) other work. This is taking me back to the "who illustrated the Anthropologie catalogue?" mystery that was puzzling everyone last spring. So anyway, if anyone is passing through Paris anytime soon, want to pick one of these babies up for me? Merci beaucoup!

La Vie Parisienne

I'm really liking this "Parisian apartment" style, and call me crazy, but I'm growing quite fond of pastel chandeliers. Before you tell me I'm totally tacky, let me say that I wouldn't put them in a living room or kitchen....more like a bedroom, where it's ok to be a little overly-floofy. I like that they remind me of an old-fashioned patisserie or confectionery, and that you can still be completely classy and elegant with the rest of the room decor. These are from Rosenberry Rooms.

Tea time!

In England, tea was at 11am and 3pm every day. I wasn't partial to tea before going, but it turned out to be okay-tasting. Which is a good thing, because my parents gave me this super cute tea set from Rosanna for my birthday last spring. I love the colors, the variety of shapes, and how it's both modern-looking and old-fashioned (Rosanna seems to do that very well). This set is called "Tea's Me", but I also really like the "Playing House" collection (among other things) which consists of baking dishes, mixing bowls, and cakestands (seen below).

BellaMuse

Once I have a disposable income again, I'm going to buy this print and frame it. Isn't it the cutest? It's from the print collection at BellaMuse, where they offer lots of cool stationery and greeting cards as well. I may end up also framing the cards and creating a wall collage!

So ridiculous

Haha....I think this is hilarious! My sister put it on my computer so I have no idea what website it came from or whose cat it is. If I did, I'd have to punish the owners for taking away this poor kitty's last shred of dignity.

Beautiful Bedding

I kind of wish that Restoration Hardware would either go out of business or just fall off the face of the earth just so I could stop admiring things I can't afford, like this Italian Pintucked Sateen Bedding (I like it in eucalyptus better than this pink though).
